Ivan D. Ivanov - Yoani works in the field of the classical European pictorial tradition and has more than 100 solo exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad: Vienna, Austria; New York, USA; Frankfurt, Germany; Prague, Czech Republic; London, England; Dusseldorf, Germany; Moscow, Russia. He has brought about many icons in Orthodox Christian churches, consecrated by His Holiness Bulgarian Patriarch Neophyte. He does performance art and installations. There are numerous publications by him and about his work in Bulgarian and international publications. He is the author of the first anachronistic exhibition registered in Bulgaria in Rousse at the end of the 20th century. He organizes the international symposium for contemporary art "ECOART" (Lomea) - Rousse, conferences and trainings. Together with Icomos Bulgaria, he realized the first "European Heritage Class" in Bulgaria, as well as many other innovative projects, workshops and master classes with his students and followers.

Ioani was born on February 29, 1968 and graduated in fine arts at Veliko Tarnovo University. He relies on philosophy and convictions that allow him to base his painting in the classical European pictorial tradition, experimenting with ancient techniques from the 7th century. He is currently a teacher at the Secondary School of Arts "Prof. Veselin Stoyanov" in Ruse.
